Having walked the woods and byways of the country for decades, and being fervently engaged with its political, cultural and geographic life, nobody is better placed to deliver our inaugural keynote speech than Stuart Maconie.
Doyen of British radio, feted author and President of The Ramblers – Stuart also happens to be one of our favourite figures in the British cultural landscape, and we are delighted that he will be bringing his remarkable wit and wisdom to the first Timber festival.
Stuart will muse on the changing nature of the landscape in a post industrial Britain and the great pull of the natural world. And he will, with his typical wit and warmth, consider how on earth rambling ever became so cool (ish). Unmissable.
