Children who live in and nearby the 200 square miles of the National Forest have a once in a lifetime opportunity to see the woodland-inspired creatures of their imagination brought to life this summer as part of the National Forest’s major new festival, Timber.
As part of its programme of over 240 events and activities over the weekend, Timber is celebrating how forests are places of adventure and magic, providing inspiration for some of the best-loved stories and characters of our time.
We’re asking children to design their own forest monsters!
20 of those will be chosen to be made into real life monsters by festival producer, Wild Rumpus, with children being invited to the festival workshop to see their creations being made into a reality. Festivalgoers can encounter and enjoy the monsters and the stories behind them across the weekend through accompanying soundscapes from winning young artists.
