What would you do with access to a woodland site?
Woodland Social Enterprises are a great way to manage woodlands, bring people together and generate an income or jobs in your community. Do you live near a patch of woodland which is lying neglected? Do you see the potential for events, activities and developing skills?
Timber Festival are joining forces with Making Local Woods Work to help make a big idea for a woodland social enterprise happen. Take part for a chance to win a package of support including £500 to help you set up, and a consultation with the Making Local Woods Work team to understand the potential for your idea and support to help you along your way. Any applicants from within The National Forest will receive additional advice from the team locally.
To apply, fill in this form https://podio.com/webforms/20916695/1441009 before Friday 15th June 2018, and tell us in 200 words:
- What your woodland social enterprise will do
- How it will benefit the local community
- How it will benefit the woodland
- How it is inspired by or contributes to The National Forest
If your idea is shortlisted, you must be available and willing to present it live at Timber Festival on Sunday 8th July. We will provide 4 free tickets for Timber Festival to shortlisted applicants. We’ll be in touch by 20th June to let you know if you’ve made the shortlist.
