Climbing Panel discussion, Hannah Morris

Led by climber, Hannah Morris, Nature Connection & Climbing Panel explores the ways in which climbing can help us to feel more connected to the natural world and develop a greater appreciation for our place in it.

Climber, Hannah Morris, curates a panel discussion about the connection between climbing and the natural world.

Climbing engages us with the natural world in a way that few other activities can. As climbers, we spend time in green spaces, using our bodies to navigate cliff faces and boulder fields to solve nature’s puzzles.  Led by climber, Hannah Morris, Nature Connection & Climbing Panel explores the ways in which climbing can help us to feel more connected to the natural world and develop a greater appreciation for our place in it.

Hear from Ben Ankobiah, film-maker and Creative Adventurer, Veronika Melkonian, climber and photographer and renowned climbing instructor, Belinda Fuller.

Hannah Morris

Hannah Morris runs the most subscribed female-led climbing YouTube channel globally – Hannah Morris Bouldering.

Hannah began climbing over a decade ago – problem solving in beautiful locations, learning to move efficiently and pushing her comfort zone on rock had her hooked instantly. She began documenting her climbing journey 3 years ago, and has amassed an audience of over 100,000 people with informative videos and stories from her climbing adventures.

Driving the Hannah Morris Bouldering platform is a passion to encourage others to push their boundaries, connect with their communities and enjoy the benefits of being outside for their physical and mental wellbeing. Hannah is passionate about engaging climbers at all stages of their climbing journey and she hopes to encourage confidence as well as a sense of connection to movement and natural spaces.

Both online and on rock, Hannah is turning the volume up on her voice for inclusion and greater female representation in the sport with an intention that empowers others to do the same.

Belinda Fuller

Be Fuller is a highly accomplished rock climber and coach, having formerly ranked as one of the top 10 UK women in bouldering and coaching the GB Paraclimbing team. Be fell in love with climbing (anything and everything!) before she could even walk, but when she found rock climbing at 16, everything clicked into place.

Be loves that, when she’s climbing, she gets to see the world and nature from a fairly unique perspective. “How many people get to see the world from the heights and angles that climbers do!? It’s such a pleasure to do what I do in nature – when I am clambering over rock I am at peace and present. There is nothing quite like that mindful connection to nature”.

Though Be spends much of her time coaching clients across the UK, she is in her element outside on rock, having climbed 8a at Pena Roja in Spain and bouldering up to V9. A glance at her social media might find her multi-pitching in Thailand, tackling giant limestone Tufas in Spain or enjoying the vast sandstone playground of Fontainebleau. When she’s not travelling the world to climb and coach, Be can be found exploring in her van, working on her charity Climbing Out of Depression and sharing her love for getting moving in the great outdoors.
