Ranjana Ghatak Trio

Ranjana Ghatak is an Indian classical vocalist and composer,

 

Bringing together Voice, Esraj and Tabla – Ranjana draws upon North Indian Semi-Classical and devotional compositions that remind us of our joy, longing, questioning and connection with love and nature. Performing compositions in Brij Bhasha, Hindi, Bengali and Sanskrit, Ranjana is excited to be creating a shared language and conversation with such a group of dynamic musicians. 

Ranjana Ghatak started her learning in the classical and devotional Hindustani vocal traditions from a young age in London, before continuing her study under the guidance of Maestro Pandit Ajoy Chakabarty. Ranjana has explored traditional music in addition to juxtaposing the beauty of sacred vocal music with contemporary instrumentation over the last 14 years.

 

Harkiret Singh Bahra is a sensitive yet dynamic performer with fine art technique to showcase. Grounded in Indian Classical repertoire, he draws artistic flair from his teachers: Giani Gian Singh Surjit, Giani Gurbachan Singh Hamdardh, Ustad Harkirat Singh Rayatt and taleem from the Late Guru Acharya Pandit Shankar Ghosh.
