This Christmas buy a ticket, plant a tree!

We’ll plant a tree in the National Forest for every Timber 2021 ticket sold between 13th November and 24th December this year. Tickets purchased in this timeframe also come with an optional Christmas gift card for you to print off and give to your loved ones, or forward on to those further afield. All you need to do is tick the box on the checkout page and we’ll send the gift card to you by email.

We’re proud to call the National Forest home, and that through Timber Festival we are inspiring artists, thinkers and communities to respond and react to the Forest in bold and exhilarating ways. The National Forest uses trees to connect people with nature, and by purchasing a ticket to Timber you are helping it continue to grow. We will be planting a variety of broadleaf saplings including oak, lime, hazel, silver birch, rowan and wild cherry within the 200 square mile forest. These trees will help in the fight against climate change, create new habitats for local wildlife and build a diverse woodland that will benefit people and wildlife for years to come.

The saplings will be planted in the next available planting season. Planting season in the National Forest runs between November and March, which is the ideal time for planting trees in the UK. Planting trees is one of the most effective ways of tackling climate change and encouraging biodiversity, absorbing CO2 from the atmosphere and producing oxygen for us to breathe.
